"Your smile is a messenger of your good will.  Your smile brightens the lives of all who see it.  To someone who has seen a dozen people frown, scowl or turn their faces away, your smile is like the sun breaking through the clouds.   Especially when that someone is under pressure from his bosses, his customers, his teachers or parents or children, a smile can help him realize that all is not hopeless—that there is joy in the world."--Dale Carnegie

Allow us to create the smile that will not only brighten your life but all those who are so fortunate enough to receive it!  Let's impact all those around us by making the world a brighter and more cheerful place to live, one smile at a time!

Laminate Veneers

Laminate veneers, more commonly referred to as "veneers", are thin shells of porcelain made in a dental laboratory to custom fit your individual teeth.  Veneers are extremely versatile and can be utilized in a multitude of ways to optimize the appearance of your smile.   The most common reasons for utilization of veneers are to close spaces between teeth, make your teeth brighter and more esthetic by whitening and recontouring the shade and shape of the teeth, and in certain instances veneers can serve to correct minor malalignments of teeth(giving the appearance ideal symmetry and alignment).  The biggest advantage to laminate veneers is conservation of healthy tooth structure to achieve an ideal smile.  The following pictorials depict how much tooth structure can be saved when using veneers vs conventional crowns.   Albeit, veneers are not the best treatment modality for extensive decay, teeth that are already extensively restored, to replace existing crowns, or for moderate to severe malalignment.

Our office also offers the option of, little to no prep., lumineers under the appropriate circumstances.

Laminate Veneer Procedure

The initial visit consists of a consult to determine if veneers are the appropriate solution for you.  This appointment typically lasts thirty to fourty-five minutes. Impressions will be taken and casts will be made of both upper and lower arches so to that your individualized plan can be created.   A  fifteen to thirty minute followup consult will be scheduled, one to two weeks later, to demonstrate what has been planned and give you an indication of how the end result will appear. Pending your approval we proceed to the third appointment which will be the preparation appointment.  This visit, depending on the number of teeth involved, may be anywhere from one to three hours in duration and will consist of preparing the teeth for the veneers, taking final impressions for laboratory fabrication of the veneers and fabricating provisional restorations for you to wear in the interim.   These provisional restorations will be worn for approximately two weeks at which time, if no modification is required, a final impression will be taken to communicate to the dental laboratory how we want the veneers to look.   Lastly, approximately three weeks subsequent to the preparation appointment you will come in for finalization or delivery your beautiful porcelain laminate veneers.   The veneers will be cemented into place and depending on the number of teeth, will last from thirty minutes to one and half hours.

Lumineers Procedure

Typically, the only thing that differs from the "Laminate Veneer Procedure" is the amount of tooth preparation necessary.  Due to the fact that lumineers are made to be a little to no preparation solution the amount of time required during the preparation appointment is minimal, typically lasting only thirty minutes to an hour.
